Sandra Spier - Schmitt

Growing up in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps on the edge of the forest, nature has always been particularly close to my heart. When the opportunity arose in 2014 to become professionally involved in ecosystem and resource protection, I joined DuraCert as a career changer from the cultural sector. Learning by doing suits me very well.

During my social work studies in cultural work, I learned to listen to people, to support and motivate them. That's why I enjoy audits and business consultations so much. Every client and every company is unique and I can empathise with companies and their processes. The versatility of my job gives me great pleasure and I appreciate the trust our clients have in me.

At the same time, I can make a concrete contribution to more sustainability in the market with my work. The use of certified materials is not only important for the people who directly depend on them. The world's climate also benefits from a responsible approach to our forests and oceans. That is what I am resolutely committed to.
