Roadmap to EUDR compliance

EUDR stands for EU Deforestation-free Regulation. The purpose of this regulation is to prevent products and goods linked to deforestation and/or forest degradation from entering the EU market or being exported from the EU. Companies must demonstrate that they have taken sufficient care.

The EUDR requires your company to take care by setting up a due diligence system, also known as a Due Diligence System (DDS). Setting up such a system requires extensive knowledge of the EUDR regulation, how supply chains work and applying a risk approach. DuraCert has been active as a consultancy since 2004 and has extensive experience with different types of companies in the supply chain, sustainability certifications and (inter)national laws and regulations.

We offer you a tailor-made advisory process to comply with the EUDR regulation, in the form of a roadmap. The aim is that after going through all the steps, your company will be fully prepared for the entry into force of the EUDR on 30-12-2025. After this date, it will no longer be possible to trade products (including import and export) without a due diligence declaration.

Afb 2: Roadmap to EUDR compliance

By fully completing the roadmap, you will have made the necessary preparations. Some steps you will need to implement or adjust on an ongoing basis in the future. For these steps, DuraCert offers you advice and, where necessary, the necessary resources. You always start at step 1 of the roadmap and can decide up to which step you continue, but it is not possible to skip steps.
